Discover the journey of TSA and the formation of our chapter at Jenks High School.
A group of passionate students and dedicated faculty members recognized the need for a TSA chapter at Jenks High School to foster innovation and technological growth.
Our chapter was officially established with the registration with the national TSA organization and Oklahoma TSA. Our founding members drafted the chapter constitution and elected leadership.
Our inaugural chapter meeting brought together students interested in STEM fields. We outlined our goals, introduced competition categories, and established our meeting schedule.
Members began work on their first competitive projects, with mentorship from industry professionals and faculty advisors specializing in various technology disciplines.
We established partnerships with local tech companies and organizations to provide members with mentorship opportunities, resources, and potential internships.
Our chapter participated in its first regional competition, gaining valuable experience and setting the foundation for future competitive success.
Today, our chapter continues to grow with ambitious plans for the upcoming national conference and various community service projects.
The Technology Student Association began in 1978 as the American Industrial Arts Student Association (AIASA). It was created to serve students who enrolled in technology education (formerly industrial arts) programs.
In 1988, the organization changed its name to the Technology Student Association to reflect the evolution of technology education. Since then, TSA has grown to over 250,000 middle and high school students across the United States.
Today, TSA is a national organization of students engaged in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics). Members learn through competitive events, leadership opportunities, and community service.
Oklahoma TSA has been fostering technological literacy, leadership, and problem-solving skills in students across the state for decades, with a strong presence in schools statewide.
Oklahoma chapters have a history of excellence at national competitions, bringing home numerous awards and recognition for their innovative solutions and technical skills.
The Oklahoma TSA community continues to expand, with new chapters like ours at Jenks High School joining the network of future technology leaders and innovators.
Our dedicated faculty advisors bring expertise from various STEM fields, guiding members through competitions and fostering a passion for technology and innovation.
Our founding student officers established chapter traditions, goals, and created a welcoming environment for all students interested in technology and engineering.
Local businesses, parents, and Jenks High School administration have provided invaluable support in establishing our chapter and ensuring its continued success.
We aim to expand our membership and create a diverse community of students passionate about technology and innovation at Jenks High School.
Our goal is to establish Jenks High School TSA as a competitive force at both state and national levels through dedicated preparation and innovative projects.
We are committed to using our technological skills to make a positive impact in our school and local community through service projects and outreach initiatives.
